Susan Miller, living life to the full!
My name is Susan Miller. I was born and brought up in East Kilbride, Glasgow where I still live with my husband, Robert. I love to spend time with my family and friends and have many interests which I am passionate about including local community, wildlife and conservation projects. Spending as much time as I can in the great outdoors combines my love of long walks and photography. I lose myself in my garden and allotment and reap the rewards when I see it bursting with colour and life, and gorging on free veg! I also find listening to podcasts and reading are great sources of relaxation.
Always something to smile about
After more than twenty years in retail management I set up a successful cleaning business which allowed me to apply my management and organisational skills in a different setting. Since 2011 I have had the privilege of working as a Driving Instructor. This has allowed me to do what I love and am passionate about building trust, working closely with people, putting them at ease in stressful circumstances and managing their concerns whilst helping them to achieve their goals. The most satisfying part is seeing the positive impact the process and my commitment has on their lives, and of course being able to put huge smiles on their faces. An now I have carried that on as a wedding officiant and marriage celebrant, which is the greatest privilege of them all.
